Imposter Game Online, Free with Friends
Everyone gets the same secret word except one. Give a clue, listen closely, and vote out the imposter. A word and social deduction game you play straight from the browser — no download, no account.
How to play the imposter game
Every player receives the same secret word, except the imposter, who receives nothing and has to bluff. Players take turns giving a one-word clue, the group argues, and everyone votes on who they think is faking it.
- Get your secret word — or bluff your way through if you're the imposter.
- Give a clue specific enough to prove you know the word, vague enough not to hand it over.
- Vote, unmask the imposter, and play quick 5 to 10 minute rounds.
Three ways to play: in person, on a call, or over chat
Works on phone, tablet and desktop. Pass one phone around the table, pair it with a Zoom or Discord call for remote groups, or play asynchronously over text.
- In person: one phone stays on the table, 3 to 20 players.
- Video call: pair with Zoom, Meet or Discord to read everyone's face.
- Chat mode: take turns over text when you're not in the same room.
